]]> WORLD AMATEUR GOLFERS CHAMPIONSHIP now starts it’s new “in house” WAGC golf mag, a platform where we will post news and information about our tournament to all amateur golfers around the world. An excellent marketing and news tool that we have talked a lot about in the past are hereby launched. It’s a great 25th year anniversary initiative by Mr Isac Saminathan and the editor Mr. YS Chan as well as everybody else that has been involved in this first edition.

World Golfers Championship Ltd is happy to announce that we have signed a long-term agreement with Delta Trend Golf & Travel to contract host countries for World Finals, secure sponsors and together with local companies manage, plan and stage the World Finals in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.

In conjunction with above we have also appointed, as a global position,
Mr. Isac Saminathan to President of World Amateur Golfers Championship & World Amateur Golfers Invitational’s worldwide tournaments.

We look forward to a long and fruitful Partnership with Isac and his team and have already had a first 10-day joint training session in the month of May 2018 in Johor when all the golf courses was inspected and the Managers was briefed of what is expected this October.

We are extremely grateful to the staff att Renaissance hotel for time and time again solving smaller and bigger issues with a constant smile on their faces which shows this was the correct hotel to use as a hosting partner for our players.

The much awaited change of scenery of finals proved to be a success. Malaysia, even though it was rainy season, gave us termeratures of about 33 degrees and sun. Only the last day there was some rain for the golfers, but other then that the golfing weather, the golf courses, the staff at the golfcourses were great.

Regardring the use of distance camera. It is allowed to use a distance camera, however it is not allowed to use one that has a build in slope indicator. It is also not allowed to use a distance camera with a slope indicator built in even if the slope indicator is turned off. This has been decided after consultation with MGA.

]]> Mr. Jesper Parnevik, a Swedish professional golfer playing the PGA Champions Tour, is really the right person to support the legacy of Sven Tumba, The Founder of World Amateur Golfers Championship. He was like an extra son of Sven and Mona Tumba and was one of the family during all the years. After getting a scholarship in golf at the Palm Beach Junior College in Lake Worth, he later turned professional in 1986 and have 5 wins on the PGA Tour, 4 wins at the European Tour and 5 other wins plus that he last year got his first win on the PGA Champions Tour at the Insperity Invitational. He has been twice the runner up in The Open in England and have three appearences in Ryder Cup.

Plagued by injuries for years, Parnevik staged a comeback in the Champions Tour 2015, where he now plays full time.

We welcome Mr. Jesper Parnevik, our new PATRON to the family of World Amateur Golfers Championship.
