Information:

With almost 150 golf courses to choose from, Indonesia is also a heavenly place for golfers. Many of the courses are world-class with the majority of foreign golfers heading for the tropical island of Bali where there are five very good 9-hole and 18-hole layouts, including the glorious Greg Norman layout at Nirwana Bali Golf Club. We can think of nowhere else in the world where we would rather tee it up. But if you find yourself in Papua on the western half of New Guinea check out Rimba Irian, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw’s remotest design, which is literally located in the middle of a rainforest jungle.

Established in 1872, the Jakarta Golf Club is the oldest Golf Club in Southeast Asia. The original name of the golf club was known as the Batavia Golf Club and the founders were Mr. A. Gray and Mr. TC Wilson from Britain. They had a team of 16 members who developed the very first Golf Club in Indonesia at the time.
